Pakistani Female Startup 'AimFit' Raises $1 Million Seed

Aimfit is a fitness startup founded by Noor and Mahlaqa Shaukat. The two sisters found potential in the industry for fitness studios and started AimFit back in 2014 after graduating from Oxford University. The main goal was to bridge the gap of fitness space dedicated to females in Pakistan so that they can focus on their health and fitness in a comfortable environment. They started with a space located in Lahore with class bundles set for specific time slots along with unlimited class contracts for a year that requires a monthly fee.

The sister-duo soon expanded their startup over the years by launching more studios in Islamabad and Lahore. The fitness startup for Pakistani females has now successfully raised $1 million through a seed round which was led by Indus Valley Capital. This round has made headlines for being one of the significant seed investments raised by a startup which is female owned in Pakistan.

Noor and Mahlaqa are working with a team of around 50 instructors along with an in-house academy which trains the team and certificates them as fitness instructors. AimFit has also stood out for having a closed group with female members only as their Facebook community which currently has above 9,000 members.
