Dukan.pk is a new platform to enable new businesses to emerge through e-stores during the pandemic where many businesses have shifted to online stores. The co-founders Monis Rahman, Muhammad Imran and Fatima Mazhar come from a lot of experience in the tech industry and have successfully launched a platform which would allow small to medium sized businesses to start an online store in just 29 seconds.
Monis is known to be a digital pioneer of Pakistan after he launched Rozee.pk which is the largest employment platform in Pakistan. Fatima was part of the founding team for Careem and worked as the head of expansion. Additionally she worked recently as Pakistan head for KeepTruckin, which is a tech unicorn based in US, she managed a team of around 1,500 people for the company. Imran was previously employed as mobile tech head at Naseeb Networks where he worked on several initiatives such as EasyTickets with Monis.
Dukan.pk aims to minimize the damage caused by COVID-19 pandemic on the economy of Pakistan by aiding businesses to be involved in the growth of e-commerce in Pakistani market. The platform handles the delivery, payment and basic accounting aspects of the store for people who sign their business up on Dukan.pk. Furthermore, the platform along with its partners takes part in giving instant loans to growing businesses and helps them succeed.
