She Loves Tech 2021, a startup competition, is returning to Pakistan for its fifth iteration, courtesy of CIRCLE, in partnership with HBL.

She Loves Tech is the world’s largest startup competition for women and technology, that seeks to uplift women entrepreneurs by being committed to closing the funding gap for them.

This year, the competition is spread out across 13 cities, which includes Gilgit Baltistan, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Multan, and Faisalabad, and will be held virtually once again. CIRCLE aims to reach 26,000 women through the organization of pitches, panels, inspiring talks, digital bootcamps, and workshops specifically designed to cater to them. They will accomplish this ambitious venture through collaboration with various NGOs, academic institutions, and incubators across the nation.

Sagheer Mufti, the Chief Operating Officer at HBL, said regarding the competition’s Pakistani iteration, “women in Pakistan must have access to equal opportunities and a seat at the table. Women entrepreneurs should be able to realize their dreams empowered by technology, innovation and disruptive thinking. Through this partnership with CIRCLE on She Loves Tech 2021, HBL will play its role in building an inclusive ecosystem for all Pakistani women.”

She Loves Tech’s ultimate aim is to unlock over $1 billion in capital by 2030 for women-led businesses, and its 2021 iteration which will take place in more than 40 locations including Pakistan, China, Germany, and Hong Kong will surely contribute towards this end.
