Pakistani Chef Zahra Khan Makes It on Forbes List

Zahra Khan is a UK-based Pakistani chef that has been nominated under one of the most game changing and impactful entrepreneurs in the list by Forbes. Zahra made it to the list for ‘Forbes Under 30 Europe List’ in retail and e-commerce category. She founded Feya and Dyce cafes located near the iconic Harrods along with Selfridges retail stores located the upscale part of Central London in Oxford Street and Knightsbridge. Zahra gradated from a culinary academy by Gordan Ramsay, a celebrity chef.

Zahra stated in an interview with Geo News that throughout her life she was told that, “Women are homemakers, only belonging to kitchens at home.” This brought her the same disadvantage as many women suffer in terms of dealing with setbacks such as gender discrimination and unemployment while their mental health is also effected. Zahra turned this stereotype around embraced her culinary talent by launching Feya café in Central London and at the same time she became a mother.

The UK-based Pakistani chef has expressed that she wants to contribute this issue of women having difficulty when it comes to finding jobs. “I am expecting to create 400 job opportunities for women and spread the message of empowerment,” she stated.
